WORDLESS WEDNESDAY – Caterpillar Conga Line
I took this picture last April in the Rhône Alpes region of France
What looks like a droll caterpillar conga line is actually a population of Pine Processionary Caterpillars on their way to find another pine tree to destroy. They are very poisonous to humans as well as dogs, so stay away from them!
More Wordless Wednesday here

Wow! We used to have them in our garden when I was a kid. Never new they were poisonous.
My parents always said not to touch hairy caterpillars. But did we listen? No! Maybe it was a different kind…
Yes, we must be careful, know people who have lost the cornea in the eye by a falling dust processionary nests.
I love Chihuly.
Interesting. I’ve never seen caterpillars do that. I don’t think we have those in the USA but if I ever see a string of caterpillars I’ll be certain not to touch them!
Yuck! Fascinating, with a side of ickiness. Ha!
I’ve never seen such a thing! I would definately steer clear of those!
